How the calculation works
Cost = area × (material rate + underlay + labour) × 1.07 wastage. For 800 sqft of engineered oak at ₹280/sqft + ₹35 underlay + ₹55 labour, you're at ₹3 lakh all-in. AC3-grade laminate cuts that to ₹1.7 lakh; European oak solid pushes it past ₹5.5 lakh.
Why this estimate is more accurate
Wood flooring shops quote per-sqft but bury underlay, skirting and threshold strips as "extras" that can add 20–30% at the end. Building the full line-item view upfront keeps the final invoice in line with the quote.
