How the calculation works
Each bed needs 30-inch walking clearance on at least one side. Queen (5 × 6.5 ft) fits in a 10 × 11 ft bedroom with side clearance + wardrobe. King (6 × 6.5 ft) needs 11 × 12 ft minimum. Smaller rooms force single or double (4 × 6.5 ft) — fine in kids' rooms.
Why this estimate is more accurate
Bed showrooms upsell king-size because the margin is higher. Customers often end up with king beds that fill 70% of the bedroom — no walking room, drawers don't open. Picking the right size first time saves the ₹35k–1.5 lakh return-and-replace headache.
