How the calculation works
Cost = sqft × (material rate + framework ₹85–150/sqft + install ₹80–150/sqft). For 100 sqft fluted MDF panel: ₹350 material + ₹95 framework + ₹110 install = ₹55.5k. Same in veneer-finish wood slat: ₹780 + ₹95 + ₹150 = ₹1.02 lakh.
Why this estimate is more accurate
Wall panelling is the most-substituted material in interior projects — fluted MDF gets sold as solid wood, raw HDF as veneer-finished. Knowing 2026 realistic per-sqft prices catches the substitution before fabrication.
