How the calculation works
Realistic mid-premium setup for a 16 × 14 ft theatre room: 4K projector + 120-inch screen ₹3.5–6 lakh; 5.1.2 Atmos system ₹2–4 lakh; acoustic panels + bass traps ₹80k–1.8 lakh; 4 recliners ₹1.6–3.5 lakh; lighting + automation ₹1–2 lakh. Total: ₹9–17 lakh.
Why this estimate is more accurate
AV installers often quote a single number that hides the most important spend — acoustic treatment. A ₹10 lakh setup with no acoustics sounds worse than a ₹5 lakh setup in a treated room. Knowing realistic numbers for each subsystem helps you balance spend.
